How I Make Money Buying Louis Vuitton

Happy April, friends! I could have sworn winter was over but good ol’ Ohio had to hit us with some more snow yesterday, which was when I decided to run outside (in my knock-off Crocs, of course) and have Alex snap a photo of me with my “new” Louis Vuitton Alma handbag. I actually get a lot of compliments on my designer wardrobe when I share pictures on Instagram so I decided it’s time to spill the tea.

How do I afford all of these luxury items? What do I actually do for a living? First of all, I buy all of my designer items second hand and I have never spent more than $300 for any one item. Second, I am a self-employed luxury fashion reseller which basically means that I cheat the retail market by purchasing pre-owned bags, clothes, and shoes and selling them for a profit online. For example, the Louis Vuitton Alma I’m carrying in the aforementioned photo? I purchased that bag on Poshmark for $250. When it was delivered to my house, I reposted it on my own account for $500 and ended up selling it for $460 within 7 hours.

My favorite thing about being a luxury fashion reseller is that I get to work from home and spend time with Alex and Braxton, the two loves of my life. Another benefit is that while these items are filtering through my wardrobe and waiting to be sold, I get to wear a lot of amazing pieces that I couldn’t otherwise afford.

Sometimes I feel discouraged and even a little jealous when I see so many successful bloggers carrying around Chanel bags and wearing the latest Gucci shoes, but that’s the very reason I wanted to share this with you all – the photos we see online represent a very small portion of an entire story.
